However, on Vista the driver is not bit perfect if you use applications that use the WAV or directsound APIs. It provides a very simple API for recording and/or playing sound using a simple callback function or a blocking read/write interface. It provides Audio and Video free calls through the internet. No problem with installation but after reboot, there's only a loud buzzing sound from my speakers.

I tried some M Audio DIO drivers before which gave bit -perfect wav output as long as you manually selected the right # of bits and frequency, but couldn't automatically change How is this possible in Vista and its improved security ???
