  2. I remember I could do it in the past, but due to the Echo installation problems I disabled it from windows startup menu and now, though I enabled it...
  3. Windows 7 by default wrongly detects the onboard sound device as a Realtek AC97 adapter.
  4. On my MOB disk it has the ac97 driver for windows19xx, ME, and 2000, nothing for xp....I am So freaking confused right now.
  5. when in the morning at 10 am I open my system it work properly to 3 pm , then after that it's shutdown itself, then again I start it, it's not
  6. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver… (etc).
  7. I would install, uninstall, and reinstall it over and over using the driver in the c-media folder on the CD that came with the motherboard.
  8. The volume control will not appear in the task bar or will any of the music player play.

Your problem with no sound also occured during my search for resolution, in fact this was a more common state for me to end up in !! after updating my realtek drivers still had the same problem (code 10 HD audio does not start). took hours..I wasn't sure exactly which steps were the ones that fixed so I tried to be as fair as possible.
